Our bodies hold such memories

Did you know that your body has its own memory?

A bell rings and you’re back at your first day of school. A song plays and it’s the first flutters of love, once again. A warm breeze brushes over your skin, and you are transported back to that special summer’s day.

Comfort, fear, joy and excitement – all stowed into our muscles and bones, ready to resurface through our senses.

Touring this April and May, I Remember Myself. At Gorff, an interactive, immersive contemporary dance work, will reveal the wonder of our bodies as archives of our experiences.

Taking inspiration from the stories of the people we meet on tour and blending them together with those of the dancers, Eddie Ladd, Anna Seymore, Gwyn Emberton and Dan Ozeri, each gallery will be transformed into a time capsule of moving memories in its own unique performance.

You’ll be invited to playfully influence what’s revealed, or you can simply sit back and be transported to an intimate world of shared journeys of hope, hurt, love and loss. Perhaps you’ll unearth some of your own long forgotten histories in the process.

Everyone is welcome. Free to attend but booking essential

With some spoken Welsh, English and British Sign Language.
